Placing social responsibility consciousness at the center of its corporate culture, RS Holding breaks new ground in the automotive sector by saying “We Overcome Obstacles Together.” The Silent Workshop project enables hearing-impaired individuals to acquire a profession, stand on their own feet, and be gained by the sector as qualified masters.
Strong Cooperation with the Federation of the Hearing Impaired
Implemented to increase social awareness and contribute to employment, this project is carried out in cooperation with RS Holding and the Federation of the Hearing Impaired. Within the scope of the project, hearing-impaired candidates undergo special training in the fully equipped workshops of RS Paintless Repair.
Trainings are conducted with the assistance of sign language interpreters. Candidates specialize in Paintless Dent Repair and bodywork repair, which are among the most sought-after competencies in the automotive sector. Participants who complete this intensive training program, lasting approximately 1 month, receive their certificates and step into the sector with the title of “Master.”
Not a Disadvantage, But a Focus Advantage
The most striking aspect of the Silent Workshop project is the superior success demonstrated by hearing-impaired individuals in this profession. As stated by RS Holding instructors, hearing-impaired masters can focus 100% on their work since they are not affected by external sounds.
While a standard master performs the process by “hearing” the rhythm of the hammer sound, Silent Workshop masters do it by feeling the vibrations in the metal. This allows their hand sensitivity and focusing skills to be much more developed. In other words, silence becomes a mastery, not an obstacle, in the workshop.
“The Obstacle is Not in the Body, But in the Mind”
Shaped by the vision of RS Holding Chairman of the Board Ünal Ünaldı, the project teaches disabled individuals not just to accept help, but to build a future for themselves. Trainees who successfully complete the project find the opportunity to be employed within RS Holding or by its contracted business partners.
